Von Hertzen Brothers 25th Anniversary

In 2026, Von Hertzen Brothers celebrate 25 years since our very first live show as a band. It feels like a good moment to pause, look back, and celebrate the journey so far — the records we made, the shows we played, and the people who’ve been there with us along the way.

Throughout the year we’ll be releasing special editions of albums that were important turning points for us, many of which have been out of print for a long time. There’ll also be new merch, special live shows and plenty more stuff to share with you as we dig through the archives.

Stars Aligned

Originally released in 2011, Stars Aligned represented a pivotal moment for us… our first internationally released album. It debuted at No.1 on the Finnish album chart and marked the beginning of a new chapter for the band beyond our home country.

Reviewing the album on release, PROG magazine described it as sounding like “the entire Led Zeppelin and Yes catalogues hurled into a giant sequin-encrusted blender manned by Jeff Lynne, Frank Zappa and Andy Partridge,” praising its “beautiful but strange world of multi-layered analogue warmth and limitless imagination.” That’ll do!

The 2026 anniversary edition of Stars Aligned will be released on limited marbled double vinyl LP, alongside CD editions in upgraded gatefold packaging.

Nine Lives

2013’s Nine Lives went to No.2 in Finland and reached the UK Rock Album Chart.

Nine Lives was the VHB discovery point for many fans outside Finland. The album’s huge power ballad ‘Flowers and Rust’ became one of the band’s signature songs, later winning the prestigious “Anthem of the Year” award at the Progressive Music Awards in London.  

The 2026 edition of Nine Lives will be available on limited earth brown double vinyl LP alongside upgraded CD editions.
